Drilling, Concrete Piers and Slab

This is an estimate based on unsigned and undated plans provided by contractor. The scope of work includes drilling, installing concrete and steel in pier hole. The price includes all labor and material to complete the work as per the itemized scope of work below.

Scope of Work

Mobilization and Layout
• After existing building has been demolished by others mobilize to jobsite with portable drilling rigs along with other necessary equipment to complete job (See notes below).
• Layout to be completed by others per plans and specifications.
• Daily Cleanup
• Final Cleanup

Piers
• Drill three (3) 18” diameter x 17 ft depth maximum and two (2) 18” diameter x 14 ft depth maximum pier holes with portable drill rig. See drilling conditions and exclusions. Final depths to be determined by soils engineer.
• Install cage per plans and place concrete in hole per plans.
• Includes sono tube as required
• Off haul pier spoils

Slab
• Install approximately 425 sq. ft of 4 inches of light weight concrete over plywood prepared by others per plans. #4 reinforcement @ 18 inches e.w. No waterproofing included.

Qualifications and Clarifications

• Job is bid as package.
• Includes two mobilizations only.
• Prices are subject to obtaining adequate supply of wood, steel, rock, concrete, and asphalt, PVC resins, PVC pipe, fittings at prices quoted at bid time and are good for 30 days.
• Proposal is based on working std 40 hours per week, 5 work days and mutually agreeable schedules.
• Not responsible for survey lines. Survey of property lines must be done by licensed surveyor. Survey points must be provided
• Price is preliminary subject to final plans for construction

Exclusions
• Cost of plans, permits, bonds, testing and inspections.
• Any additional work due to utilities including buried pipes or irrigation pipes unless noted.
• Increased costs of excavation or drilling due to hard rock, caving or underground water. (Hard rock excavation is defined as material that requires the use of pneumatically or hydraulically operated hammers or rams to excavate.) (Hard rock drilling is defined as a penetration rate slower than 1 ft. in 5 minutes).
• Additional cost as a result of unknown obstructions
• Replacement of damaged landscaping, driveway or fence.
• Excavation and off hauling of hazardous materials, underground tanks, or materials unacceptable at dumps.
• Any work related to landscaping, fences or gates except as outlined
• Survey of property lines or layout
• Landscaping or irrigation
• Excludes electrical and plumbing
• Any earth shoring not included
• Any drainage work
• Embedment into concrete including brackets except J bolts
• Permeable concrete
