This estimate is based on architectural drawings and structural drawings. This bid is for the excavation and installation of new house addition reinforced concrete foundation on piers.

Our price includes all labor and material to complete the work as per the itemized Scope of Work below.

Scope of Work
New Addition Foundation
Excavation
• Excavate for the installation of the new house addition as per plans. Off-haul excavated spoils from site.

Mobilization and Supervision
• Mobilize to jobsite. Demobilize.
• Supervision.
• Perform weekly cleanup.

New Concrete Foundation Installation
• For the new house addition, install new perimeter and interior grade beams and footings as per structural details and layout on sheet S2.1. Includes garage stem walls poured monolithically.
• For the new garage, install a new 5” thick reinforced concrete slab over with # 3 @ 12” o.c., e.w. 10 mil vapor barrier and 4” of ¾” crushed gravel.
• Clean up related debris and form materials from site.

Drill and Install Piers
• Drill and install a total of (28) 18” diameter x 10 ft deep maximum reinforced concrete piers as per sheet S2.1 layout. Remove drilling spoils from site.
Alternate #1 Existing Structures Demolition
• Perform existing house garage and foundations demolition per plans for the installation of the new house addition.
Demolition exclusions: Permits, retention, hazardous materials abatement, utility safe-offs, grading and backfilling.

Notes
• Elevations and layout to be provided by General Contractor or surveyor (hired by others) performing the remainder of the project.

Qualifications and Clarifications
• Job is bid as package unless agreement to otherwise
• Includes one mobilization only.
• Prices are subject to adequate supply of rock, concrete, asphalt, PVC resins, PVC pipe, fittings at prices quoted at bid time and are good for 30 days.
• Proposal is based on working std 40 hours per week, 5 work days and mutually agreeable schedules.
• Progress payments every two weeks.

Exclusions
• Cost of plans, permits, bonds, testing and inspections.
• Increased costs of excavation or drilling due to hard rock, caving or underground water. (Hard rock excavation is defined as material that requires the use of pneumatically or hydraulically operated hammers or rams to excavate). (Hard rock drilling is defined as a penetration rate slower than 1 ft. in 5 minutes).
• Additional cost due to utility obstructions including any additional work on utilities or buried pipes.
• Landscaping work or any additional retaining walls, walkways, patios, tie steps or other concrete work not mentioned in our scope of work.
• Waterproofing or drainage.
• Excavation of hazardous materials, underground tanks, or materials unacceptable at dumps.
• Architectural concrete or type of special concrete finish product other than integral color in the concrete mix allowance mentioned above.
• Surveying and Layout.
• Supply of embedments other than foundation bolts.
