This is an estimate based on plans. The scope of work includes drilling, concrete piers, CMU wall and drainage. The price includes all labor and material to complete the work as per the itemized scope of work below.

Scope of Work

Mobilization and Layout
• Mobilize to jobsite with drilling rigs along with other necessary equipment to complete job (See notes below).
• Layout to be completed by General Contractor per plans and specifications.
• Daily Cleanup
• Final Cleanup
Piers
• Drill seven (7) 18” diameter x 9 ft maximum depth pier holes using portable drilling equipment. See drilling conditions and exclusions. Final depths to be determined by soils engineer. Pier spoils to remain on site for others.

Grade Beam
• Excavate for grade beam approximately 60 ft in length x 22 in wide x 12 in high
• All spoils to remain on site for others
• Install concrete reinforced grade beam 60 ft in length x 22 in wide x 12 in high.
• Grade beam and piers to be poured concurrently.

CMU Wall
• Install 8 inch wide CMU wall a maximum of 5 ft high using typical masonry block wall construction. Price assumes close end CMU 8 inch standard blocks.
• At each pier location form up a 16 inch pilaster per plans and specifications
• Fill pilaster and cells of CMU wall with grout per plans and specifications

Drainage
• Install a 4” SDR 35 perforated pipe behind wall with Class 2 permeable or drain rock wrapped in filter fabric approximately 1 ft back from wall. Final exit of drain pipe to be completed by others.
Alternative #1
• In lieu of price above delete drilling costs and substitute drilling cost on an hourly basis.
Qualifications and Clarifications
• Job is bid as package.
• Includes one mobilization only.
• Prices are subject to RWR obtaining adequate supply of wood, steel, rock, concrete, and asphalt, PVC resins, PVC pipe, fittings at prices quoted at bid time and are good for 30 days.
• Proposal is based on working std 40 hours per week, 5 work days and mutually agreeable schedules.
• Survey of property lines must be done by licensed surveyor.
• Deposit with progress payments every two weeks. No retention.

 

Exclusions
• Cost of plans, permits, bonds, testing and inspections.
• Any additional work due to utilities including buried pipes or irrigation pipes unless noted.
• Increased costs of excavation or drilling due to hard rock, caving or underground water. (Hard rock excavation is defined as material that requires the use of pneumatically or hydraulically operated hammers or rams to excavate.) (Hard rock drilling is defined as a penetration rate slower than 1 ft. in 5 minutes).
• Additional cost as a result of unknown obstructions
• Replacement of damaged landscaping, driveway or fence.
• Excavation and off hauling of hazardous materials, underground tanks, or materials unacceptable at dumps.
• Any work related to landscaping, fences or gates except as outlined
• Survey of property lines
• Landscaping or irrigation
• Excludes electrical and plumbing
• Shoring
• Upper landscape wall
• Removal of existing temporary wall
• Any additional drainage
• Stone cap or stone veneer
• Railing
• Off haul of pier or excavation spoils
