This estimate is based on a site visit and direction. The scope of work is for excavating for a new grade beam, installing a new concrete reinforced grade beam with 8 new tiebacks. The price includes all labor and material to complete the work as per the itemized scope of work below. Price is subject to receipt of approved plans for construction.

Scope of Work

Mobilization and Layout
• Mobilize to jobsite with drilling rigs, along with other necessary equipment to complete job (See notes below).
• Note: Existing wood deck to be removed by others.
• Daily Cleanup
• Final Cleanup

Grade Beam
• Excavate for new grade beam per plans and specifications
• Install new concrete reinforced grade beam per plans and specifications.

Tiebacks
• Drill eight (8) 6 inch diameter holes to a maximum of 35 ft per plans and specifications. See hard rock drilling conditions. Final depth to be determined by testing and soils engineer.
• Install eight (8) 1 inch diameter double corrosion tieback bars (KSI 75) per plans and specifications.
• Grout tieback bars per specifications with cement grout of 3500 PSI. Tiebacks are to include 10 ft of unbonded length with remaining to be bonded for a maximum total of 35 ft.
• Include 8”x8”x1” anchor plate with anchor nut and sealing cap
• Grout sleeve included
• Off haul spoils from site.
• Pull test tiebacks to test load of 45 kips and lock off at 35 kips per plans and specifications and lock off per plans and specifications.

Qualifications and Clarifications
• Job is bid as package.
• Includes one mobilization only.
• Prices are subject to adequate supply of wood, steel, rock, concrete, and asphalt, PVC resins, PVC pipe, fittings at prices quoted at bid time and are good for 30 days.
• Proposal is based on working std 40 hours per week, 5 work days and mutually agreeable schedules.
• Contractor is not responsible for survey lines. Survey of property lines must be done by licensed surveyor.
• With deposit. Progress payments every two weeks.
• Estimate is contingent on engineering plans and specifications.

Exclusions
• Cost of plans, permits, bonds, testing and inspections.
• Any additional work as a result of utilities including buried pipes or irrigation pipes unless noted.
• Increased costs of excavation or drilling due to hard rock, caving or underground water. (Hard rock excavation is defined as material that requires the use of pneumatically or hydraulically operated hammers or rams to excavate.) (Hard rock drilling is defined as a penetration rate slower than 1 ft. in 5 minutes).
• Replacement of damaged landscaping, driveway or fence.
• Excavation and off hauling of hazardous materials, underground tanks, or materials unacceptable at dumps.
• Any work related to landscaping, fences or gates except as outlined
• Embedment into concrete other than standard foundation bolts
• Survey of property lines
• Landscaping or irrigation
• Excludes electrical and plumbing
• Carpentry except as needed for installation of concrete
• Earth or structural shoring
• Demo, repair or replacement of wood deck
• Drainage
