Wood Lagged Soldier Pier Retaining Wall

Drill
• Drill sixteen (16) 18” diameter x 10 ft maximum depth pier holes using small excavator. Final Depth to be determined by soils engineer. Additional cost per ft plus cost of I beam. Standard drilling conditions.
• No off haul of drill spoils.

Steel I Beams

• I beams to be coated with two coats of metal primer and one coat of flat back exterior over exposed portions of beam per plans.
• Place concrete in pier hole per plans and specifications (See table).
Note: Estimate assumes wall height maximum of 6 ft and depth of pier hole at 10 ft. per wall schedule with 6 ft pier spacing. Price to be adjusted for change in assumption.

Wood Lagging
• Install wood lagging with 4 x 12 pressure treated wood lagging per plans and specifications to a maximum height of 6 ft. Cut ends to be treated with preservative treatment.

Drainage
• Install a drain rock pocket behind wall approximately 1 ft back from wall and cap with a 1 ft native soil cap.
• Pocket includes 4” perforated SDR 35 pipe.
• Connect to temporary drain lines to be installed.
• Backfill voids behind wall with native soils. Additional cost for any import required.
Diversion Barrier Wall

Drill
• Drill eleven (11) 18” diameter x 16 ft maximum depth pier holes using small excavator. Final Depth to be determined by soils engineer. Additional cost per ft plus cost of I beam. Standard drilling conditions.
