Preliminary Estimate for Demolition of Existing Garage and Driveway Slab, Drilling and Installation of Piers, Installation of Foundation for Addition and Exterior Stairs

This preliminary estimate is based on preliminary plans. The work consists of demolition of the existing garage slab and part of the existing driveway. Work will include installation of drilling and installing piers for the new addition along with numerous foundation footings and grade beams and new exterior stairs. Include new slab for garage floor.

Our price includes all labor and material to complete the work as per the itemized Scope of Work below.

Scope of Work

Mobilization
• Mobilize to site. Demobilize
• Layout to be completed by General

Demolition
• Demolish existing garage slab and part of driveway per plans and specifications. Off-haul debris from site.

Piers

• Excavate and Install twenty six (26) 18” concrete reinforced piers to various depths as shown on S1.1. Pier depths are as indicated on plans.
• Remove Spoils

Foundations

• Excavate and install approx. 298 linear ft. of foundations. Foundations are per plans and specifications are a maximum of x 24” wide x 34” high of reinforced concrete grade beam as per plans and specifications.
• Drill and install approximately 35 dowels per plans and specifications

Stairs
Install Concrete Reinforced stairs per plans and specifications on 1/S3.3

Slabs

• Install 6” reinforced concrete slab over 2” of sand and 4” of crushed rock base and 6-mill membrane. Reinforcement to be #5 rebars 12”each way per plans and specifications.
• Approximately 504 square feet of slab. .

Exclusions
• Cost of plans, permits, bonds, testing and inspections.
• Layout
• Increased costs of excavation due to hard rock, caving or underground water. Hard rock excavation is defined as material that requires the use of pneumatically or hydraulically operated hammers or rams to excavate. Hard rock drilling is defined as a penetration rate slower than 1ft. in 5 minutes.
• Any work on utilities including buried pipes.
• Excavation and off hauling of hazardous materials, underground tanks, or materials unacceptable at dumps.
• Grubbing or Replacement of damaged landscaping or hardscaping including trees.
• Costs for providing safe off of utilities.
• Any Waterproofing required.
• Guard Rails
• East Side Stairs
• 6X6 Posts
• Steel Column
• Demolition of slabs over 4” thick or foundations over 1’ thick.
• Any Rock Facing on new retaining walls
